Looking for a challenge for 2010? The Children’s Medical & Research Foundation, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital wants you to join our 2010 triathlon team in Chicago. If you like to swim, bike or run then sign up and take the first steps to making a difference for sick kids. Regardless of your level, we strive to mix new and seasoned triathletes to support and encourage each other - and have fun while doing it!
Chicago is host to the largest and most famous triathlon in the world with more than 11,000 participants, a spectacular downtown Chicago lakefront finish and 250,000 spectators throughout the course. Every year, our Crumlin team is the biggest international team to participate.
We would like to invite you to join us and sample the incredible atmosphere and team spirit that is Crumlin and in so doing raise funds for sick children. This challenge is motivating, inspiring, charitable and fun and we hope that you will join us in this unforgettable experience. Together we can and will make a difference.
Am I eligible to take part?
Our Chicago Triathlon is open to people over 18 years of age. There is an Olympic Distance Triathlon (1.5km Swim, 40km Cycle, 10km Run) and the Sprint Distance (750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run). Relay entries are also available (2 or 3 person team). All we ask is that you have a good level of fitness, want to take on the challenge of a triathlon, take pleasure in the buzz of a terrific city and enjoy making new friends. We do require that once you agree to take up this challenge that you train to ensure that you are physically prepared.
What we need you to do
Meet with a Development & Promotions Executive to discuss your participation
Complete your Official Registration form, Race Entry form and pay non refundable deposit of €300
Raise a minimum of €4,500 prior to departure
Attend the Team get together
Submit a signed medical form indicating that you are fit to travel and complete the challenge from your GP is mandatory
