Looking for a challenge for 2010? The Children’s Medical & Research Foundation, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital wants you to join our 2010 marathon team in New York. If you like to run then sign up and take the first steps to making a difference for sick kids. Regardless of your level, we strive to mix new and seasoned marathon runners to support and encourage each other - and have fun while doing it!
New York City is host to the largest and most famous marathon in the world with more than 38,000 athletes and 2 million spectators and every year our team is one of the biggest Irish teams to participate. Taking in all five boroughs of NYC, we guarantee you the experience of a lifetime.
We want you to join us, to sample the incredible atmosphere and team spirit and with each step raise funds for sick children. This challenge is motivating, inspiring, charitable and fun and we hope that you will join us in this unforgettable experience. Together we can and will make a difference.
Am I eligible to take part
The ING New York City Marathon is open to people over 18 years of age. All we ask is that you have a good level of fitness, want to take on the challenge of a marathon, take pleasure in the buzz of a terrific city and enjoy making new friends. We do require that once you agree to take up this challenge that you train to ensure that you are physically prepared.
