The Big Picture Project
Are you a ‘big picture’ person?
Carmel Clark and Oliver Brady, the artists behind this project certainly are. Their vision is to create a massive artwork, 10ft high x 20 ft wide, which will be divided into 105 individually framed works, to be sold in aid of Heart Children Ireland and Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin. Additionally, as a result of the process that Carmel and Oliver will use to create this work, there will be one further painting: a mirror image of the whole work on a single canvas, which will be auctioned on the The Big Picture Show Night, (details to follow) Every person who buys a painting will be individually supporting the vital work of the Hospital and Heart Children Ireland, and will be permanently connected in realising this grand ‘big picture’ vision. All costs in the project are being met by generous sponsors, so every penny collected through the sale of the paintings will go to these important charities.

Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin
Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin is one of the largest hospitals in the world devoted exclusively to children. It is also the national centre for paediatric cardiology. All paediatric cardiac surgery is carried out here and in 2007, 4662 children came to our cardiac outpatients department, 390 cardiac operations were performed and 846 children stayed in hospital with heart problems.
Heart Children Ireland
Heart Children Ireland is a voluntary organisation whose wonderful mission is to always provide support for all who are affected by congenital heart defects (CHD). It was founded in 1991 by a group of parents who met while their children, born with (CHD), were being treated in Our Lady's Hospital, Crumlin.
