The Children’s Cancer Fund

The Children’s Cancer Fund was established in 1982 by parents and friends of children with cancer. Responsible for the commissioning of St John’s Ward, the funds raised have not only ensured that there is state of the art equipment available to these patients, they have also provided for furnishings and funded the positions of nine staff members. This fund has been nothing short of a lifeline for the Haematology/Oncology Department at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital,Crumlin. St Michael’s and St John’s are the specialist wings where these brave children and teenagers who have life-long chronic illnesses are treated.
