A Gift In Your Will
A small part of our income comes from gifts left in people's Wills. These gifts help us plan for the future and play a huge role in supporting Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital and the National Children’s Research Centre. Your long term gift is a wonderful way to support the things you care about most, now and after you’re gone.
We understand that your family and friends will probably come first, but a small percentage of whatever’s left, once their needs have been provided for really could help more young lives fulfil their precious potential.
It’s not difficult or expensive to actually make a will; most people are surprised just how easy it is – however we do advise you to consult a solicitor to assist you in developing your will.
If you have already drawn up a Will, you may add a simple gift by way of a codicil. Any gifts you make in your Will to a registered Charity are exempt from Gift or Inheritance Tax.
As we are a registered charity, bequests are Tax Free on death. There are several different types of gifts which can be left to using your Will.
-
a Specific Legacy
-
the Pecuniary Legacy,
-
the Revisionary Legacy
-
and a Residuary Legacy.
