In November 2009, our unborn baby, Louise was diagnosed with Dandy-Walker brain malformation and Tricuspid Atresia heart defect. (She has recently been diagnosed with PHACE Syndrome) We were given a guarded prognosis and looking online it seemed that DW was a very grim diagnosis. I began a blog to keep our family and friends informed and to just mark Louise's life, whether it would be long or short.
Well Louise will be two in March this year and has surpassed all our expectations.
She had a PA band operation when she was two weeks old, Glenn Operation at six months, a hand operation and is expected to complete her heart surgery with the Fontan procedure in Summer of 2013.
Louise has met all her milestones with time to spare and she lights up our lives.
I hope my blog gives another family hope.
